The year 2013 started with PROGRESS taking a page out of AC/DC’s songbook, with their fifth show – For Those About To Fight, We Salute You – headlined with a tag match between the London Riots, and the Leaders of the New School, Zack Sabre Jr. and Marty Scurll.

Our live thoughts from today’s PROGRESS show, Chapter 33 – Malice In Wonderland… there be spoilers beyond here!
This week on Random Reviews, we’re going to take a look at the few occasions where PROGRESS’ title traveled the world, cementing its place as a World title.
PROGRESS wrapped up it’s first calendar year of business with their fourth show in November 2012 – entitled “The Ballad of El Ligero”. This was the show where El Ligero got his title shot against Nathan Cruz, coming on the heels of several matches where Ligero went against his long-standing clean cut character to cheat his way to the top.
Six months on from their debut, PROGRESS moved onto their third show back at the Garage in Islington, as the story involving the babyface but conflicted El Ligero PROGRESSed (sorry!)
Three months after their debut, PROGRESS returned to The Garage in Islington, London for their second event, entitled “The March of PROGRESS”. Featuring an increased roster of 18 wrestlers (only four of which appeared on the first show), show two headlined with a best-of-three falls title match between Nathan Cruz and Marty Scurll, and also had the PROGRESS debut of a 19-year-old Will Ospreay.
Well, since we’re up to date (as best we can be) with PROGRESS events, it’s time to set the time machine back a little further, all the way back to March 2012, for Chapter 1.
We wrap up our look at the first half of 2016 by casting an eye over a select group of indie promotions from around the world.
