The 24th Best of the Super Junior tournament kicked off in explosive fashion at Korakuen Hall today, with both blocks getting underway in grand fashion.

Drew Galloway’s farewell to EVOLVE came in the form of an I Quit match that was hard-fought, if not a show-stealer as the Brooklyn crowd was treated to a great evening’s wrestling.
EVOLVE returned to La Boom for the first half of a New York double-header, featuring the return of Kyle O’Reilly and a bloody main event as Ethan Page looked to end Darby Allin once and for all.
The annual WrestleCon Supershow certainly featured a lot of big names, but came away feeling very hit and miss, with matches all over the spectrum in terms of quality and enjoyment.
The final show before WrestleMania saw FIP serve up a snappy, but great card of action at the Hardy Tailgate party.
WWN’s annual Mercury Rising supershow eventually delivered, but an overbooked mess to the first two matches, and use of “card subject to change” left a rather sour taste…
The second half of EVOLVE’s WrestleMania weekender wrapped up with a brutal main event between Ethan Page and Darby Allin in front of a largely indifferent crowd.
Well, for us anyway, WrestleMania weekend got going with EVOLVE’s first show with Zack Sabre Jr as champion – and my word, this was a great way to start the weekend!
