The British Boot Camp gang stay in the States for drinks and drills as the show continues!
We open with a recap of the gang’s adventures at Bound For Glory, with Spud and Marty being told to “buck up their ideas” in particular. This week, they’re in Nashville at the TNA offices, as Dixie tells the Blossoms they’re getting a makeover… which involves a trip to the salon. Spud busts out some British slang upon seeing the results, while Marty somehow forgot what clapping was.
Dixie joins them all in the limo again as they head out for lunch. Interestingly over the toast, Dixie seemed to hint that the Blossoms would be picked together. Dixie recaps their appearance on Bound For Glory, and has an iPad handy with it on… Except Dixie wasn’t thrilled with Marty for having gum in his mouth. Ooops. Spud and the Blossoms didn’t get off scot-free either, before she told the four-some that her ideas of “who’d win” have changed since the start of the competition.
We’re shown footage of them taking photos around Nashville, while Spud threw a quarter in a fountain. They hang around into the evening as they get a taste of the Nashville nightlife, courtesy of James Storm. Uh, and indeed, oh. The crew’s attempt at redoing that Beatles’ photo didn’t go well, as we go to break… with the tease of bull riding and kissing.
Back in the bar, the gang are watching Bound For Glory again, specifically the James Storm vs. Bobby Roode match. That’s cause for some celebratory shots, and what looked to be a lot of Jack Daniels and coke. Of course, “Party” Marty lives up to his name, as they head to another bar… which has a mechanical bull inside. Jeremy Borash is on hand to MC the mechanical bull riding, which none of them lasted too long on. The night continues, with Marty and Hannah hooking up, which gives Spud to poke fun at. Meanwhile, James Storm and Spud gargle their booze, but Spud can’t handle it… and “five minutes later” he’s stripping off on the bar. Which led to him being dragged outside by a bouncer…
We flash forward to the quartet in Louisville as they’re at OVW. Al Snow and Doug Williams are on hand for the next stage of their tryout, featuring a nervous Spud and a rather dismissive Al. Snow asks the Blossoms what’d happen if one of them got more popular than the other, which always happens with tag teams, right? Cue more drills, as Doug Williams reminds them that “American rings are bigger” as Spud and Marty criss-cross the ring. Al tells them they’re hitting the ropes wrong, which seems very “day one” to me? Next week, we’re back in OVW as we have a tryout match ahead of the finals in Orlando!
Much like last week, this felt very much like a “tourism” piece, but at least things are steering back towards the wrestling side of things as the process hits its climax.
