We’re now in November, and we’re running late, so let’s take a look at this month’s SlobberKnocker Box!
This month’s box was a little late due to a printing issue with one of the t-shirts; but this month’s box was more than worth the wait.
Once again, we’ve got two shirts: firstly, a Revival-inspired design, for all of you fans of percussive maintenance. This ticks plenty of boxes for yours truly, particularly as it’s a wrestling shirt that you can wear without it screaming “wrestling” like so many WWE shirts (and wrestling shirts in general tend to).
Second up is an AJ Styles themed-shirt, “The Phenomenal Face That Runs The Place”. The reference might go over a lot of people’s heads, but otherwise it’s a pretty nice design with a minimalist mugshot of AJ in the background of it.
In addition, Jason Kallend’s completed his hattrick this month with a travel mug – not something you’d usually see in one of these wrestling boxes, I’ll admit. Perhaps taunting a well known coffee shop, we’ve got a TNA reference, “Brother Nero Cafe” being the slogan on the mug.
Elsewhere, we have another hattrick – three DVDs make the box, with two TNA One Night Only events from 2013. First up, it’s Hardcore Justice 2 – which features a Monster’s Ball match, a ladder match with the team better known now as the Young Bucks against Bad Influence, and a tables match involving Team 3D. 2013’s Tournament of Champions was one of the year’s higher-rated One Night Only cards, featuring some pretty big names like Sting, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode in a one-night tournament.
Keeping in with the British tie-in that Slobberknocker Box likes to have, there’s also a best-of DVD from the Britannia Wrestling promotion out of Wales. On the DVD there’s matches like the American Wolves vs. the YOLO Squad (Drew Parker & Ethan Silver), Frankie Sloan vs. Zack Gibson and much more.
The rest of the box feature a pair of signed photos – this month in the form of Flash Morgan Webster and Jinny – and the first issue of a comic book, “Kodi Symmons”.
We’ve only been subscribed to the Slobberknocker Box for a few months, but this month is unquestionably the best selection yet. Great work lads, and with November’s box being “Extreme”, this should make an ideal Christmas present for any wrestling fan.
Slobber Knocker Boxes are available worldwide via http://www.slobberknockerbox.com/ – and come in four flavours: junior, standard, deluxe and t-shirt only. Junior boxes contain t-shirts that’ll fit children, but regardless of order, you still get to pick the t-shirt size. Each box contains a variety of items, including but not limited to t-shirts, DVDs, prints and collectible figurines.
The website contains full pricing details, and also lists the cut-off point for each month – typically the cut-off point is around the 10th of the month, and boxes dispatch around two weeks later.
