We’ve got another free match from wXw’s selection from their recent tour of East Germany.
This one’s from the Hellraiser in Leipzig, with German commentary courtesy of Emil Völler.
Stephanie Maze vs. Jane Nero
These two have had a bunch of prior singles meetings, all in 2024, with Maze having won six while Nero’s sole win came the night before this in Limbach-Oberfrohna.
Maze attacked Nero from behind as the hell had rung while Nero was taking off her entrance jacket… but the jump start’s quickly nullified as Nero’s able to hit a swinging Fisherman’s neckbreaker inside the opening minute. An attempt to follow-up with some crossface punches in the ropes was nullified as Maze broke free and hung up Nero in the ropes, before a quick suplex forced a two-count out of Nero.
The crowd boos the bullying Maze as she took Nero into the corner for chops, before grabbing the hair either side of a chinlock attempt. Nero fought out, but ended up getting stretched over Maze’s knee, almost like a set-up for the Galactic Facecrusher, but Nero again powers out, only to get armdragged back down.
Eventually Nero finds a way through as she reverses a suplex, before some body blows led to her scoring a series of shoulder tackles on Maze. A Final Cut followed, ahead of a full nelson slam for a near-fall as Maze had tried to stop Nero in her tracks. Nero stays on Maze with a hanging neckbreaker from the ropes, before she finally landed those overhand punches in the ropes.
Nero’s diving seated clothesline nearly gets the job done, before Maze escaped a Twist of Fate and followed up with a back suplex… a head kick follows, and that’s your lot.
Result: Stephanie Maze pinned Jane Nero in 8:21 (**¾)
Save for a short run in the match, Nero was almost “bullied off the park” – to borrow a footballing analogy. Maze showed some good fire as a baddie here, meshing well against the naturally-likable to the crowd Nero.
