Over WrestleMania weekend we reviewed several shows from the independent scene, but there was one that we largely left untouched. Until now… Featuring the stars of the indie scene, including Will Ospreay, Ricochet, Zack Sabre Jr., Chris Hero, Rey Mysterio and many many more, we finally dive into the WrestleCon show, and see just how badly Jeff Jarrett nearly killed the entire event.
EVOLVE presented a lead-in for NXT on Saturday afternoon, with another stacked card including an indy dream match between Chris Hero and Cody Rhodes.

One of the stand-out storylines from TNA this year – from a creative perspective, at least – has been the feud between the Hardy brothers. Going in, it’s easy to see how fans would have been cynical, given how badly their prior attempts at a feud bombed. But this time, it was different, and it was glorious.
WrestleMania weekend’s set of indy shows came to a climax on the Saturday evening, with a near-four hour long supershow called “Mercury Rising”. Featuring mostly talent from the earlier EVOLVE shows, there was also involvement from the SHINE and FIP promotions in a bid to make this the WWN’s version of WrestleMania.
