English commentary, as ever, comes from Mett Dimassi and Norman Harras. Norman couldn’t get a word in on the opening to-camera bit…

Peter Tihanyi & Zoltan vs. 10/10 Next Level (Alex Duke & Aleksander Bellamy)
This was set up on Shotgun, following up on Zoltan’s run-ins with 10/10 in recent weeks.

Zoltan wanted to get going at the bell, but Alex Duke wanted no part of him and instantly tagged out as Aleksander Bellamy got things underway. A blind tag’s gleefully accepted by Duke, but Zoltan’s able to avoid a double-team and bring in Tihanyi, whose armdrags and dropkick sent Duke scurrying.

Bellamy’s in with another blind tag, but the Hungarians pulled the same ploy as Zoltan snuck in for a trip on Bellamy, then an up-kick before a bodyslam led to a two-count for the youngster. Tihanyi’s back with chops, only for Duke to drag him to the outside as Zoltan’s protestations masked the double-teaming.

10/10 worked well against a compromised Tihanyi, but Tihanyi’s able to fight out of a chinlock… only to get caught with Bellamy’s Randy Orton backbreaker for a two-count. Duke’s boot triggers a side-Russian legsweep for another two-count, before Duke booted Zoltan off the apron to prevent a tag out and keep Tihanyi isolated.

Not long later, Bellamy lost sight of Tihanyi, running into a dropkick just as Zoltan popped up for a tag. Duke’s also back to get bounced around by Zoltan, whose dropkicks had 10/10 Next Level on the proverbial ropes. A rolling thunder splash to the stacked up duo almost wins it though, before Duke tried to catch out Zoltan with a chicken wing choke.

Zoltan escapes, but gets tripped up in the corner by Bellamy, allowing Duke to hit an elevated Flatliner for a near-fall. A turnaround brings Tihanyi back in, and after he’d lowbridged Duke to the outside, the slingshot cutter quickly followed back in on Bellamy for the win. This was a strong opener, with the makeshift duo looking good – even though this was one of 10/10’s better showings for a while. ***¼

Earlier today, Nordino and Luca de Leone interrupt Ricky Sosa as he arrived… Sosa wasn’t too pleased with their fan-girling in a bit that was right out of Shotgun.

Jacob Crane vs. Katsuya Murashima
I forgot about Jacob’s funky new music – it’s been a while since he’s had an advertised match here. Heck, his last singles match in wXw was in the European title tournament over two years ago, against Mike D Vecchio. Bloody hell.

Crane accepted Murashima’s handshake at the bell, but used it to throw a suckerpunch to get us going. An O’Connor roll nearly nicked the win for Crane inside 90 seconds, only for Murashima to recover and chuck Crane skyward with a back body drop. It’s not long before they’re trading chops, which got stopped by a dropkick from Crane.

Pushing on, Crane’s half-hatch suplex and a punt to the back rocked Murashima for a near-fall. We got a throwback to the past with Crane teasing a bodyslam as he’s still not over that PTSD, and of course Murashima avoids it as we went back to exchanging shots, until a front kick from Crane led to him eating an overhead belly-to-belly.

Another kick from Crane earns a response, but his dropkick’s caught and turned into a giant swing. From there, a spin-out front suplex gets Murashima the win – as I suspect he’s lined up for Gedo in Hamburg. Shame really, because Crane looked really good on his return here… and I’d hope he’s brought back sooner. ***

We’re back outside as someone else was arriving earlier today… it’s Ahura getting a lift to the building, complete with cheers from the live crowd.

Jane Nero vs. Akane Fujita
After coming up short in Femmes Fatales, Nero’s on a war path as she tries to ready herself for an eventual title shot (you’d think!) with Chihiro Hashimoto otherwise busy defending the title in Japan.

Meanwhile, Fujita was making her first appearance in wXw in almost three years – her last outing also being in Frankfurt. A tentative start had Nero land the first blows, only for Fujita to return fire with some slams. Heading outside, Nero’s met with some chops, before she opted to play keepaway, eventually catching out Fujita with some stomps to the back.

Nero grounds Fujita with a sleeperhold, but its fought out of, only for Nero to stomp a mudhole in Fujita in the corner moments later. Another sleeperhold’s broken via the ropes as Fujita mounted another comeback with bodyslams, only for Nero to cut her off with a short DDT for a near-fall.

Fujita’s able to return with a headbutt and a fallaway slam for a two-count, only for a gut shot and a Twist of Fate to seal the deal for Nero. A good win for Nero, whose collision course you’d think is more than locked in at this point. **¾

We’re sticking with Ricky Sosa, as he’s backstage with Dan Mallmann… Sosa’s unhappy with what CSI were doing early, but he’s focused on winning the wXw Unified World Wrestling title later. Sosa took aim at Ahura for staying in Germany, whereas Sosa’s a world traveller and on a bigger stage… and promised to become the youngest champion in wXw.

Shigehiro Irie vs. Elijah Blum
This was Irie’s first match in wXw since last year’s anniversary – he’s not been doing as much travelling in 2026, but it’s lovely to see Shige back! These two had met once before, in March 2023 at the Inner Circle… with Irie getting the win just days before winning 16 Carat Gold (and the Unified World Wrestling title.)

Irie seemed a little befuddled at the “schnurrbartmann” chants as we got going, with Blum looking to work over the arm. Hitting the ropes, Irie runs into a dropkick, only to return with the Auf Die Fresse slingshot splash and a good ol’ sit-out splash for a two-count on Blum. Elijah hauls up Irie for a suplex in return, before a chinlock kept Irie on the deck for a spell.

Clubbing blows to the back from Irie spark a trade-off, which Blum edged ahead on as the more recent of the two former champions looked to be comfortably in control. A neckbreaker’s good for a two-count, before Blum ran into a Black Hole Slam. Irie followed that up with a headbutt as Blum fought on the top rope, before a big splash almost got him the win.

Blum ducks a Beast Bomber lariat, then fought back with a moonsault press out of the corner, before Irie blocked a Parting Gift and sent Blum into the corner. Cue the cannonball, but it’s not enough for the win, and when Blum hit back with a Torpedo Moscau… Irie just hit one of his own. WELL THEN!

The pair exchange headbutts for fun afterwards, before duelling Torpedos ended like that Run It “sport” that’s on TikTok. Both men get back up to resume strikes, and while Blum eats a Beast Bomber, he’s able to shrug it off to hit a German suplex, then a Sliding D to get the win. A really strong outing with Blum getting a statement win as he looked to keep his name in the title picture. ***½

Robert Dreissker and Peter Tihanyi fight over the Kinder Delices… imagine if they were ever big trading card collectors. Imagine them as scalpers…

wXw European Championship: Kuro vs. Laurance Roman (c)
Kuro got the pin in the main event in Bielefeld last week – and he’s looking to add to that by getting his first gold in wXw.

A side headlock from Kuro ends in the ropes early on, while shoulder tackles led to a rapid dropkick in return from Roman, who took things outside to dropkick Kuro off of the apron. Kuro quickly hit back, dropping Roman in the ropes, only to get low bridged onto the apron… where he made Roman pay with a cutter onto the side of the ring.

Chops from Kuro knock Roman into the front row before Kuro did a lap of honour as he proceeded to boot Roman into his chair… then shooed the crowd as Roman ended up diving on him into the second row. Back inside, Kuro’s able to go Coast to Coast on Roman, before a Falcon arrow almost did the deal.

Roman remained on the defensive as he was hurled into the buckles, but Kuro’s way too eager to celebrate, which keeps eroding at his advantage. A suplex into the buckles nearly puts Roman away though, before he suplexed his way out of a side headlock. Chops from Kuro fired up a bloodied Roman, who replied in kind before a missile dropkick sent Kuro down for a two-count.

A Blue Thunder Bomb from Kuro saw him drag his way back into contention, before he peppered Roman with kicks in the corner. One of those misses, with Kuro hanging himself into a Tree of Woe that Roman happily capitalised on before a parade of reversals ended with a lariat from Kuro. From there, Roman hit back with a swinging DDT for a near-fall, before a Burning Nail ended with a back body drop and a stomp from the Frenchman.

Kuro adds a pumphandle driver to get him closer to the win, then a Doomsday Accordion ripcord lariat. We’re back to the pair exchanging shots, with dualling boots and lariats leading to a clothesline from Kuro… whose cutter landed, only for Roman to bounce right back with a Burning Nail for the win. For my money, this was Kuro’s best outing in wXw to date, and were it not for the lackadaisical start, things could have been different – but these are the sorts of showing he needs to put on in order to move up. ***½

wXw World Tag Team Championship: VCC (Daniel Akindele & Ahuka) vs. CSI (Nordino & Luca de Leone) (c)
The VCC pinned CSI as part of a trios match last week, so here we are…

An attempted jumpstart from the VCC backfired, with Akindele getting sent outside as Nordino and Ahuka traded shots inside. Ahuka’s boot found its mark early on, but CSI manage to recover and combine well with some double-teams on Ahuka. They even went for the Arrivederci slam early, but Akindele makes the save before the VCC found themselves hung up in the ropes.

Once CSI’d shoved the VCC into each other, it was time for a spot of rowing to aggravate those groins further. Despite that, the VCC try to fight on, but Nordino’s baseball slide took Ahuka off the apron, only for Ahuka to intervene from the floor as the VCC finally began to mount some offence, with a series of kicks and knees almost putting Nordino away.

Nordino’s kept cornered as the VCC found their groove, but a stomp to the foot from Nordino got him free from a kick-assisted German suplex… and bought him enough time to bring de Leone back into things. A diving back elbow from Luca finds its mark, as did a back cracker to Akindele… but Ahuka’s able to put the brakes on, and help lay out de Leone with the Black and Yellow assisted German suplex for a near-fall.

After the kick-out, VCC continue to put the boots to de Leone, but what looked to be a Powerplex backfires as Nordino took care of Akindele, before de Leone’s diving uppercut sent Ahuka to the outside. Akindele remains the legal man though, and one Arrivederci slam later, the VCC were sent packing as CSI retained. ***

Before CSI could get to the back, they were interrupted as Isabella wheeled Robin Christopher Fohrwerk onto the stage… and amid the distraction, Robert Dreissker and a returning Marc Empire attacked the champions. CSI get squashed with splashes from the big lads, ahead of duelling fallaway slams… and there’s Planet Gojirah back in the title scene.

wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship: Ricky Sosa vs. Ahura (c)
TNA announcing Sosa’s “back injury” had a few people worried about this match… which was Sosa’s first appearance on a main show for wXw since losing to Peter Tihanyi at the Batschkapp back in July.

There was a surprising number of fans cheering for Sosa given we were in Frankfurt. Ahura looked to take the sting out of things early on, taking Sosa into the corners before Ahura got caught with a cheapshot. Sosa snapmares Ahura to the mat, then thrust his crotch at the back of Ahura’s head. That’s, uh, familiar.

Ahura snapped back, landing a springboard missile dropkick that sent Sosa to the outside for a breather. Back inside, Sosa’s grounded in a front facelock… but ends up rolling with Ahura to the outside where they scrapped, only for Sosa to accidentally chop the post. After Trent Sevening himself, Sosa’s booted down as things eventually headed back inside, where Ahura indulged in some mudhole stomping… until Sosa snuck in a low kick as referee Tassilo Jung broke them up.

A snap slam into the corner from Sosa hung up Ahura somewhat… and that leg ended up getting homed in on by Sosa for a spell. A pull-up Northern Lights suplex gets Sosa a near-fall, before an awkward Quebrada got pushed away by Ahura. Blocking a satellite DDT, Sosa tries for a suplex, only for Ahura to escape and hit a Boss lariat, before the pair resorted to exchanging strikes once more.

Sosa’s shot has Ahura rocked for a spell, but Ahura’s able to shake it off and hit a Destino for a near-fall. Again heading outside, Sosa tries to gather himself, getting up in time to cut off Ahura’s Divine Sandstorm before hitting a reverse ‘rana off the middle rope after Ahura had hung himself up in the ropes.

Sosa looks for a Blue Thunder Bang, but Ahura countered with a reverse ‘rana of his own. More back-and-forth shots lead to Ahura going for another Boss Lariat, but a running boot took both men over the top to the floor, before another front kick flipped Ahura inside out. It’s good for a near-fall as Sosa went back to Ahura’s leg in a bid to hit the Blue Thunder Bang. This time it’s countered with a Dragonrana for a near-fall, before Ahura ran into a Styles Clash as the near-falls kept coming. Ahura’s running on fumes here as Sosa stayed on him… but a dropkick counters a moonsault from Sosa, only for Ahura to leap into a Blue Thunder Bang in the middle of the ring.

Somehow, Ahura’s able to roll through just before the three count, before a Boss Lariat struck Sosa out of nowhere. From there, Sosa’s pulled up for a Salamandra… but he floats out and goes back to the knee. A leap’s caught and turned into a spinning backslide slam from Ahura, who then a Salamandra to the mix… and that’s enough to get him crawling over the line to retain the title. This felt like a souped up version of Roman/Kuro from earlier – although I was biting on the near-falls towards the end, you never really felt that Ahura was dropping the title in his home town. Well worth the price of admission, at the very least! ****

FAN was a strong show from top to bottom for wXw, with their final trip to Frankfurt of the year delivering some really strong action, with three relatively unlikely challengers all putting in decent shouts while coming up short in their matches.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

wXw Fans Appreciation Night 2026 (October 24, 2026) recap - #wXwFAN - Ahura returned home as he made his first defence in Frankfurt - against Ricky Sosa.
[690,6,829
7149,6367,4429,6805,7107,6200,7157,7216,6204,2381,7221,2380,6137,6825,7167,5978,1542,7158,7159,5634,7138,2678,7215,454,6879
post-29181","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-european-indies","category-reviews","category-wxw","tag-10-10-next-level","tag-ahuka","tag-ahura","tag-akane-fujita","tag-aleksander-bellamy","tag-alex-duke","tag-csi","tag-daniel-akindele","tag-elijah-blum","tag-fan","tag-fan-2026","tag-fans-appreciation-night","tag-jacob-crane","tag-jane-nero","tag-katsuya-murashima","tag-kuro","tag-laurance-roman","tag-luca-de-leone","tag-nordino","tag-peter-tihanyi","tag-ricky-sosa","tag-shigehiro-irie","tag-vcc","tag-wxw","tag-zoltan
https://i0.wp.com/backbodydrop.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/wxw-fan2026-logo.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1
["GET
