A rapid-fire springboard moonsault came within a hair’s breadth of going wrong, but Sosa’s able to take down McCoy for a near-fall.

A second springboard moonsault’s intercepted with a kick as McCoy’s spinning rack bomb followed, but Sosa’s able to fight back and land his Drip Drop (Styles Clash) for the pin. Decent enough for the time it got – but it didn’t get much, which’ll be a pattern on this show. **¼

Backstage, Joey Sensation is trying to interview Metehan and Rambo… but Norman Harras interrupts to poke the proverbial bear, saying Metehan failed yet again. Metehan didn’t seem to be too bothered about winning and losing, as long as he made people proud. Rambo stepped up to challenge Norman and “his little chihuahua” later on…

Roadkill (Aeron & Conn Kelly) vs. The Hype Dawgs (Kuro & Mecca)
Aeron and Kelly have a team name now… I wonder if they have a fondness for chicken plucking?

Kuro started with his ring jacket on, and was so busy posing he missed Aeron charging past him to knock Mecca off the apron. Some early double-teaming had Kuro beaten in the ropes with overhand punches, but this was all building up to the Mecca hot tag, as Mecca caught Roadkill for a Samoan drop/fallaway slam combo within moments of coming in.

Aeron saved Kelly from what looked like a Vader Bomb, before Kuro returned to hit a plancha on the outside. Mecca goes airborne seconds later, flattening Kelly with a moonsault, before the stomp-assisted Big Ending made Roadkill, erm, roadkill. **¾

Reyca vs. Orsi
It’s an all-Hungarian battle here, but with Reyca yet to pick up her maiden win in wXw, this might be a tad one-sided…

Reyca tried to catch Orsi from the off, but it’s quickly brushed off as a fallaway slam sent Reyca onto the apron. Clotheslines keep Reyca on the deck, as did a bodyslam, before Reyca used the ropes to counter out of a Glitter Bomb. It’s for nought though as Orsi got it at the second attempt, ending what was virtually a squash. **½

Backstage, Joey Sensation’s got Marius al-Ani ahead of his match with Elijah Blum tonight… Marius reckons he’ll make light work of Blum and continue his current unbeaten record alive.

Ravie Davie vs. Brandon Bandz
Davie’s picked up a little bit of German on his latest trip over here… but he was facing a total unknown in Brandon Bandz, who was making his main roster debut.

Bandz looked to close this one out in a hurry, but Davie lost his cap as he fought out of a move… and got put on the back foot again when the cap went back on. Davie avoided a 450 splash and began to make a comeback with Dusty punches, following up with a Blockbuster for a near-fall, while almost a Warhead-like headbutt took Bandz down.

Davie’s switching moonsault misses seconds later… before Bandz’s version of the Angel’s Wings and a 450 splash got the win. **¼

Emersyn Jayne vs. Leyla Hirsch
Given Jayne’s more likely to return here, you’d think this could be a match to establish her in wXw… but let’s see. These two met twice six years ago during the autumn festival weekend – with Hirsch winning both of those.

Early pin attempts from Hirsch looked to frustrate Jayne, who responded with a backbreaker, then a springboard crossbody out of the corner for a near-fall. A snap German suplex keeps Jayne ahead, as did a missile dropkick, before a low German suplex almost ended things.

Hirsch returned fire with a trapped-leg Saito suplex, before a back-and-forth on the mat led to Jayne getting caught in the Legit Lock for a quick submission. They weren’t out there long, but the back-and-forth struggle between the two was palpable throughout. ***

M4 vs. Matthew Justice
I fear a one-sided outing for the former head of Y2Kutie Security…

Most of Justice’s matches head into the crowd, but this one was kept pretty light on that… and that kinda left the crowd quiet, as they were expecting something closer to his usual stuff. Justice was able to restrict M4’s opportunities though, although M4 was able to escape an implant DDT before hitting a powerslam for a near-fall.

A spear in return from Justice put the brakes on things, before M4 ate a death valley driver en route to defeat in a match that the crowd just didn’t seem interested in. *¾

Joey Sensation is backstage with Dennis Dullnig ahead of his no holds barred match for Hektor’s Shotgun title… Dullnig claimed he was the victim of Hektor’s selfishness, and he’d make Hektor pay.

Zoltan vs. Dragon Dia
After teaming with him the previous night, Zoltan’s got a singles match against Dragon Dia…

Dia controlled the opening stages, taking down Zoltan with a dropkick by the ropes, but Zoltan was able to break the cycle and mount some sustained offence. Headscissors out of the corner get Dia back on top though, before a leg sweep and a standing moonsault almost ended things.

Zoltan’s able to duck Dia off the ropes and return with a superkick, then with a German suplex as he looked for the upset… but Dia manages to cut off Zoltan on the top rope, bringing him down with some avalanche headscissors before a Dragonrana picked up the win. ***

The Gulyas Bros (Gulyas Jr. & Vilmos Gulyas) vs. Planet Gojirah (Marc Empire & Robert Dreissker)
Anyone fancy some big lads wrestling? Gulyas Jr. probably didn’t, given his chest was still beet red after Manders’ chops some three days prior…

Dreissker and Vilmos start us off trading shoulder tackles, while Vilmos’ crossbody out of the corner looked to put the Hungarians ahead… Gulyas Jr.’s Bionic elbow was a bit of a throwback to Dreissker’s Bubba Ray tribute, but Dreissker snapped afterwards as the champions managed to build some momentum of their own.

Vilmos escapes a double-team and made the hot tag to Gulyas Jr., who cleared the way by dropkicking Dreissker into Empire ahead of a cannonball to the pair of them… only for a Dreissker suplex and a slash off the top from Empire to get the win. This was good for what it was, but there’s a bigger match in these teams if they had the time. ***

Metehan & Rambo vs. Aleksander Bellamy & Norman Harras
The story of the match here was – yet again – Norman Harras expecting Bellamy to do the dirty work, with more than a little bit of it being to get payback for Aleksander’s shenanigans that cost Norman his credit card over the weekend.

Bellamy’s attempt at a jump start’s easily caught by Metehan, whose initial flurry didn’t exactly get much of a crowd response as Bellamy was grasping at straws. Rambo’s tag in woke the crowd up as he continued to dominate the rookie – despite Bellamy thinking he had a shot.

Harras was hardly in any hurry to help his mate though, just watching and grimacing as Bellamy was bounced around the ring. Finally, Bellamy’s able to capitalise as he avoided a handspring elbow and returned with a neckbreaker to Metehan… but he’s not tagging out, and when Rambo charged at him, an overhead suplex then a frog splash off the top put an end to what might as well have been a handicap match. ***

No Holds Barred Match for wXw Shotgun Championship: Dennis Dullnig vs. Hektor Invictus (c)
Dullnig’s been a pain in Hektor’s side all weekend – and really since Dullnig faked-out his own retirement in August… which led to this challenge from Hektor.

Hektor came through the crowd to attack Dullnig from behind as this one got off to a blazing start, which saw Dullnig get turfed through the ropes and onto his head as Hektor wrecked a chair on the back of his former tag partner. Things continued into the crowd as Hektor booted Dullnig out of a chair, before pulling out a bin… which backfired as a Hektor dive saw him get nothing but that shiny metal in the face.

Coming up bloody, Hektor’s well and truly on the back foot as he’s thrown into the ring post, then into the crowd (sorry, Lawson!) as Dullnig was in complete control here, taunting Hektor as he went. A spinebuster out of nowhere bought Hektor time, but he’s unable to add to it as the his head and neck were causing problems.

Dullnig pounced with a neckbreaker as he resumed control… another Hektor comeback’s thwarted as Dullnig hit a uranage, before sidestepping a charge as Hektor bounced off a table, leading to a short piledriver for the win. Dullnig leaves as the new Shotgun champion, after his weekend’s attacks culminated in a pretty one-sided outing. ***¼

While everything up until the main event perhaps wasn’t going to linger in the memory, there’s a lot to be said for an efficient show. Ten matches, in and out inside two hours… if you’re a completionist, this was a pretty damn good package of wrestling.

Hektor Invictus finally got his hands on Dennis Dullnig after a weekend of torment – but it came with the risk of him losing the Shotgun title.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

wXw We Love Wrestling #71 (September 28, 2025) recap - #wXwGrandPrix - Hektor Invictus finally got his hands on Dennis Dullnig after a weekend of torment - but it came with the risk of him losing the Shotgun title.
[690,6,829
6714,7107,7144,7130,5624,7136,6665,6699,6414,5131,5978,4548,6987,6881,4303,6375,5285,3774,6225,7023,7129,2249,7088,6786,7138,7146,1086,7143,7145,7135,3146,454,6879
post-28741","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-european-indies","category-reviews","category-wxw","tag-aeron","tag-aleksander-bellamy","tag-brandon-bandz","tag-conn-kelly","tag-dennis-dullnig","tag-dragon-dia","tag-emersyn-jayne","tag-griffin-mccoy","tag-gulyas-jr","tag-hektor-invictus","tag-kuro","tag-leyla-hirsch","tag-m4","tag-marc-empire","tag-matthew-justice","tag-mecca","tag-metehan","tag-norman-harras","tag-orsi","tag-planet-gojirah","tag-pro-wrestling-grand-prix","tag-rambo","tag-ravie-davie","tag-reyca","tag-ricky-sosa","tag-roadkill","tag-robert-dreissker","tag-the-gulyas-bros","tag-the-hype-dawgs","tag-vilmos-gulyas","tag-we-love-wrestling","tag-wxw","tag-zoltan
["GET
