1 Called Manders pinned Axel Tischer to retain the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship in 18:55
It’s the day after 16 Carat Gold Revenge as wXw moved into the Club From Hell in Erfurt for this bout of We Love Wrestling. It’s all hard-cam stuff, with German commentary from Mett DiMassi…
We’ll update this with the rest of the matches as and when they’re uploaded…
Elijah Blum vs. Ocean Avery
Avery’s not a big fan of the “Auf die Fresse” chant… boo that man!
Blum was looking to rebound after falling short to Manders for the title the previous night – and largely controlled the pace here, despite Avery putting the brakes on some headscissors. Avery’s spinning uranage into the corner puts a halt to Blum’s momentum though, before Blum mounted a comeback, scoring with a side Russian legsweep and a brainbuster for a close near-fall.
Avery responded with a Fisherman buster, but a shotgun dropkick and a new finish for Blum – almost like a running Burning Hammer – proved to be enough for the win in a solid outing as Blum shook off his earlier loss. **¾

Yuto Nakashima vs. Dieter Schwartz
Shockingly, this was only Yuto’s fourth singles match in wXw – with a win over Zoltan last time out being his maiden win. Given that run, maybe Schwartz will be able to cut the mustard here…
Yuto charged down Schwartz early on, only to get thwarted with the old school Airplane Spin as Schwartz tried to nick a win. Nakashima roughs up Schwartz by the ropes to create a new opening, but again Schwartz was proving resilient, catching out Yuto with uppercuts in the corner before a half-hatch suplex got him a near-fall.
Nakashima’s Falcon arrow tries to swing things the other way, but doesn’t put Schwartz away as the pair resort to back-and-forth strikes before Schwarz rebounded with a German suplex off the ropes, bridging it for the upset pin. A pretty solid outing with Nakashima putting over Schwartz on the way out. **¾
Fast Time Moodo vs. Metehan
These two have had several meetings through the years – with their first singles match back at 2020’s Catch Grand Prix. Moodo’s only beaten Metehan once though, via DQ, and I’m not expecting that stat to change here.
Moodo tried to control things from the off, but he’s sent scrambling to the outside as Metehan avoided an early kick. Back inside, Metehan’s able to pick up the pace, tripping up Moodo for a low dropkick, before Moodo kicked away Metehan as he came off the middle rope.
Moodo slows things down for a spell, but he got complacent as Metehan back body drops out of the Pedigree attempt… then returned with an Eye of the Hurricane. That momentum continued with a handspring back elbow and a uranage… but a second handspring’s kicked away by Moodo, whose Pedigree almost won it seconds later.
Metehan’s on his knees as Moodo held him for some kicks, but he fires up with chops as Moodo… begged off and poked Metehan in the eyes. Metehan’s able to avoid a Made in Japan from there, returning with a sliding forearm as the match descended into back-and-forth strikes for a spell.
Moodo’s kicks again get avoided, but he’s able to catch Metehan with a Destroyer for a near-fall, before a Black Belt Kick was sidestepped. A trip to the outside sees Metehan score with a plancha before a swivelling lariat found its mark back inside. Metehan tries again for a missile dropkick, eventually scoring with it before the Passion’s Flame Tiger Driver got the win. ***
Laurance Roman, Nick Schreier & Planet Gojirah (Marc Empire & Robert Dreissker) vs. Big Bucks (Alex Duke & Norman Harras), Kuro & Mecca
That’s certainly a look for young Nick “Müller” Schreier there…
The early going here saw Marc Empire try to charge through Norman Harras, while Alex Duke took a swipe at Nick Schreier and his sunglasses. That backfires as Duke got bounced between Dreissker and the corner, leading to a back body drop and… Dreissker donning those sunglasses. Nick got his sunglasses back as he went after Kuro in the corner with mounted punches, which drew in Mecca to break it up… and Laurance Roman to help even things up.
Of course the ring fills up from there, with all the bad guys taking mounted punches before Kuro began to make some inroads. He crotches Schreier on the top rope, but Laurance Roman’s legal and able to retaliate with a back suplex as we all thought he was going for the facebuster.
Dreissker’s back to wear down Kuro some more, but a distraction from Harras opened things up as we got our first look at Mecca, who charged through Dreissker with ease. Harras is back to continue Mecca’s work, clubbing away on Dreissker before he fell to a snap suplex. We’re back to Duke and Schreier, with Nick’s springboard crossbody finding its mark as we continued to cycle through both teams.
Schreier escapes a double-team and brings Empire back in, with Marc going crazy with clothesline on the opposition until Kuro’s diving boot took Empire off his feet. Problem was, Kuro waited for Empire to get back up, and that proved to be his downfall as a Hype-maker got booted way before Roman and Schreier combined to land a splash-assisted neckbreaker on Kuro for the win. ***¼

M4 vs. OSKAR
OSKAR’s still surly, chucking his t-shirt at M4 before the bell.
The opening lock-up ends in the ropes, but M4 isn’t backing down, instead opting to slap OSKAR before the pair fought over a bodyslam. OSKAR eventually lands his, following up with some boots to the back of the “Protein Hulk” before charging in with an elbow into the corner.
OSKAR looks for a Boston crab, eventually getting it on as OSKAR rolled back the clock to his time as a Young Lion. The ropes saved M4, whose attempted response just got him chopped into the corner, before a choke bomb attempt was fought off. M4 builds from there with a clothesline and a back body drop for good measure.
Another crack at the bodyslam goes nowhere as OSKAR clubs his way free, before M4 finally scored it after he’d sent OSKAR into the ropes. It’s good for a near-fall too, but OSKAR hits back with a powerslam of his own before he went back to the Boston crab. Again, the ropes save M4, who tries to fight back with forearms… but a big boot and a choke bomb ends up getting the win as OSKAR put away the reigning academy champion. ***
Post-match, OSKAR shook M4’s hand as Robert Dreissker appeared at ringside and buried the hatchet with OSKAR. From there, Dreissker revealed to the crowd that this was OSKAR’s (and by extension, Yuto Nakashima’s) last night with wXw, with Elijah Blum, Marc Empire, Nick Schreier and Laurance Roman joining in the farewells.
Counting the post-pandemic run, this was OSKAR’s second stint with wXw as he’s now heading back to New Japan to start anew there – and you’ll be daft if you think we’re not going to be keeping a close eye on what they’re going to be up to!
