We’re straight into action on Shotgun this week, with English language commentary from Mett Dimassi and Norman Harras.
Roadkill (Conn Kelly & Aeron) vs. Suplex Republik (Zack Eriti & Cuma Bolat)
It’s a wXw debut for Suplex Republik, who’ve been putting in the miles around Europe as of late.
Kelly went to work on Eriti early with chops ahead of a takedown as the Frenchman tried to cut him off… Aeron’s in as Zack got cornered ahead of a basement dropkick, while Cuma Bolat’s attempt to make a save saw him taken down as Aeron’s pancaked onto them for an eventual two-count.
Bolat’s back to shove Kelly off the top rope and into Aeron as it was time to bust out some suplexes. From there, it’s one-way traffic for a spell as Kelly was trapped in the corner for a diving enziguiri as I was starting to get distracted by what looked like suspender braces on Eriti’s kneepads.
Somehow Kelly’s able to make a comeback with a double sunset flip as Suplex Republik weren’t in a hurry to exit the ring. Nor were they when Aeron came in, as a crossbody off the top took out Bolat and Eriti as Aeron began to ping them around the ring. At this point, that five count’s got to have lasted a minute as Aeron’s suplex to Eriti drew Bolat back in to break up the pin.
Eriti bites his way out of a suplex as yet more double-teaming brought the Republik back in for a double-team Styles Clash that almost got the win. Kelly broke up the pin, but charged into the corner as things began to get a little scrappy. An O’Connor roll nearly won it for Bolat, but a cheapshot leading to an assisted bulldog quickly got the win for Roadkill. I’d like to see Roadkill really pick a lane and stick to it – both teams being shades of grey here made this tough to engage with, no matter how much Bielefeld were celebrating at the end. **½
Mett’s outside in the theoretical Bielefeld, throwing to the top moments of last Saturday’s show – including the set-up and pay-off for the main event… Alex Duke retaining the Shotgun title over Zoltan, Jane Nero beating Gianna Capri, and VCC pinning the tag champions.
Time for another trip to Fohrwermarkt, with Nordino losing his mind at the lack of Italian pizza before getting Bram’d into the freezer by Robert Dreissker. Mett’s playing with his beard as Peter Tihanyi and Robert Dreissker have a scrap, and to be fair, I’d want no part of that either.

Time for backstage comments… Kuro’s wanting to bring the hype to wXw, and he’s gunning for Laurance Roman’s European title in Frankfurt. Luca de Leone interrupts Nordino sobbing in the cupboard, but Nordino seems to think they lost the tag titles.
They’re interrupted by the VCC, who are quick to remind CSI of their win… because they’re gunning for their titles in Frankfurt.
Backstage, 10/10 Next Level are celebrating… but Zoltan storms in to accuse them of wrestling a singles match like it’s a tag match. Peter Tihanyi wanders in, and we’re getting Zoltan & Tihanyi against 10/10 in Frankfurt. I don’t like their chances.

Ben Thamer’s at a computer he’s not yet turned on… but he’s got to deal with Jane Nero first. She’s not in the mood for handshakes, nor for promo photos, especially not those with Next Level in.
Next, Robert Dreissker’s reading a magazine about Bielefeld when Robert Dreissker’s wheeled in. Dreissker exits, but Fohrwerk’s got something to say – specifically, he’s not mentioning Marc Empire’s injury because of data protection. Dreissker’s not too thrilled with Fohrwerk slowing them down, and it’s starting to show.

Elijah Blum’s undoing his boot laces when Ahura comes in to take the piss. Ahura’s trying to stir the pod and convince Blum that Tihanyi’s still not to be trusted, while Blum straight up told Ahura he’d let success go to his head. In response, Ahura insisted he was bigger than wXw, and that “everyone revolves around him.” Blum shuffles away, leaving Ahura to rant at an empty chair…
