After blow-out shows on Friday and Sunday, it’s back to just the tournament matches as block B took centre stage on Monday at the wonderfully-named Yonago Convention Centre BiG SHiP in Yonago.

Coming out of last Friday’s New Japan show, the biggest talking point I was expecting was the debate over how to rate the main event. Granted, at the time I said that the match was easily four stars, but was also below five. That’s just another way of saying “it was a great match”, however the weekend saw the emergence of an entirely different, and divisive train of thought: those who audibly voiced their displeasure at the style of the match itself.
Another day, another full New Japan show, as Osaka is the venue for Sunday’s instalment from the Best of Super Junior tournament, and we’re going back to block A.
New Japan were back at Korakuen Hall on Friday for the latest stop in this year’s Best of Super Junior tournament, and it was a block B day for a card headlined by a tournament match, between Ricochet and Will Ospreay.
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, but it’s time for some free wrestling goodness from the wide world of YouTube.
Wednesday saw the third round of Block A matches from the 23rd Best of Super Junior Tournament, with the Ichinoseki City Gymnasium playing host to the fifth day of the tour.
Back to PROGRESS now, and we go back six months for November 2015’s show: Chapter 23 – What A Time To Be Alive! There are no old men thawing out of a freezer here, but we do have a rare event which included a pre-show, and that match that broke the ring… in the main show opener, too!
We’re going back to the B-block for the second round of Best of Super Junior matches, as New Japan entered the Yonezawa Municipal Gymnasium.
